The rates are calculated in accordance with NBR 14280 – Occupational Accident Reporting Standard. Throughout 2021, the development of the Janaúba and Sant’Ana construction projects entered a phase of heightened accident risk exposure, with an increase in man-hours exposed to hazards. This resulted in a modest increase in lost-time contractor accidents compared to 2020, already reflecting the impact of campaigns developed under the Segurança 100% program.
